My name is Kaitlyn Power, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in relational, attachment-based therapy for young adults in Southern California.
Since beginning my practice in 2016, I’ve been passionate about creating a space where clients feel genuinely seen, understood, and supported. Today, as Founder of Power Therapy, I lead a small team of clinicians who share a relational, insight-oriented approach to healing.
Whether you work with me or one of the associate therapists on our team, you can expect a thoughtful, supportive therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, curiosity, and genuine connection.
I believe meaningful change begins when we feel safe enough to show up honestly and explore what’s really going on beneath the surface.
Together, we’ll explore the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, understand the experiences that shaped them, and develop new ways of navigating life’s challenges.
Because our earliest relationships deeply shape how we navigate the world today, my work is grounded in psychodynamic and attachment-based therapies. I believe that understanding the childhood roots of our current behavioral and emotional patterns is key to long-term change. To support your immediate, day-to-day well-being, I also integrate evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and somatic attachment tools.
Ultimately, therapy can help you better understand yourself, strengthen your relationships, and feel more confident navigating life’s challenges. Through this process, you’ll be better equipped to advocate for your needs, establish healthy boundaries, and build a stronger sense of self.
